Elizabeth Rojas: A Story Connecting Ecuador and Switzerland
Our founder and director, Elizabeth Rojas, was interviewed by PRIMICIAS to share the story behind Voyages de Rêve and the vision that has guided our work over the years: connecting Swiss travellers with an authentic, diverse Ecuador full of stories waiting to be discovered.

For Voyages de Rêve, travelling means much more than visiting a destination. It means meeting the people who make it unique, supporting local producers and artisans, and helping ensure that the benefits of tourism reach the communities and territories where they belong.
This commitment can be seen in reforestation initiatives carried out with local communities, our promotion of fair trade, and our choice of hotels, restaurants and partners who share a responsible and sustainable approach. It is also reflected in the direct connections we seek to create between our travellers and the people who keep Ecuador’s traditions alive.
During the pandemic, this commitment became even more meaningful. While tourism came to a standstill, Voyages de Rêve continued working with small Indigenous and rural communities that depended on tourism income, welcoming small groups whenever possible and keeping the connection between travellers and local communities alive.
The story also extends beyond Ecuador. In Switzerland, Elizabeth created Espace Equateur, a space dedicated to showcasing the work of Ecuadorian artisans and producers and bringing their stories closer to the Swiss public.
Today, Voyages de Rêve continues to build this bridge between Ecuador and Switzerland: creating experiences that allow travellers not only to discover the country, but also to meet, value and support the people and communities that make it what it is.
