The cocktail reception on September 2nd, an event rich in emotions
A warm atmosphere, guests lulled by the beautiful Ecuadorian music mark the evening of September 2nd. Everything is at the rendezvous during the cocktail reception under the theme of Ecuador.
Around 6 pm, the arrival of the guests takes place in the respect of sanitary measures and social distancing. However, this does not prevent cohesion between the guests and well-paced discussions. What really attracted attention was without a doubt the humility shown by the Ambassador of Ecuador in Switzerland. He arrived without a procession, with disconcerting simplicity. What he conveyed is in the image of this beautiful country: Ecuador.
Between the discussions in full swing and the aperitifs served, the host Martin Hannart had to stand on a chair, high up in order to attract attention. And it was a success! Live on Facebook, his opening speech presented the values, beauty and diversity of Ecuador but also the importance of this evening for the founder Elizabeth Rojas Gilliand.
After Mr. Hannart's opening speech, there followed a speech by the Ambassador of Ecuador to Switzerland, Mr. José Delgado Mendoza. His speech was instructive and motivating. He gave a marvellous description of the landscapes and the possibilities of traveling in Ecuador thanks to Voyages de Rêve. He salutes this beautiful initiative and supports the projects of the founder. Then the poignant testimonies of former travelers, Corinne Blanc and Eric Dupont, aroused the curiosity of the people. The other guests could read on their faces that this stay had marked them a lot. We were even treated to Eric's beautiful anecdotes!
In order to officially start the evening, the founder Elizabeth R. Gilliand presented her vision of her travel agency. She emphasizes authentic encounters, community-based and close-to-the-person tourism as well as personalized activities designed according to the desires of each traveler. Ecuador, with its four worlds, responds to all kinds of desires, be it in sports, heritage discovery, culture and also the desire to be close to nature.
Empanadas, ceviche, "arroz con pollo", fruit salads, not forgetting the typical chocolates of Ecuador were on the menu. Guests traveled through Ecuador through the food, accompanied by local music. The founder served some of the dishes herself to be even closer to her guests and to be able to discuss travel itineraries, fares and other matters with them. In the end, the guests were able to enjoy the beautiful Ecuadorian culture both in the music, the decoration and the dishes served.
It was an honor for the founder and the whole team of Voyages de Rêve to have welcomed you, to have exchanged and shared the wonderful places of Ecuador with you.
