Artisans frequently use wool from sheep and llamas, but the most popular and expensive is alpaca wool, the warmest in the world. Both colourful and useful for high altitude walks, you can find them all year round in the markets.
The different markets have a different spirit depending on the region we are going through. Likewise, the crafts we will find. Ceramics, weavings, embroideries, jewellery made of tagua (natural ivory), gold and silver jewellery. Carpets, ponchos, tablecloths. One of the markets we visit is the Otavalo market, the largest craft market in Latin America
